CP Solar Farm

CP has installed a solar energy farm at its Calgary headquarters. The farm will offset 2,600 tons of carbon emissions a year, which is equivalent to taking 570 cars off the road. The project will generate more power than consumed annually by the main headquarters building.

Hydrogen Locomotive Program

CP is developing a next-generation zero-emissions locomotive by employing fuel cell modules to retrofit a formerly diesel-powered locomotive. The fuel cells will provide a total of 1.2 megawatts of electricity to power the locomotive.
